Parking: Duval Street and the surrounding areas can be slow to
navigate by car, and even harder to find a parking spot on. If you're
bringing a car, it's best to check with your hotel or inn to make sure
that there is parking available.
If you do need to bring your car, there are a couple of parking
locations that will be around $15-20, for up to 24 hours - they don't do
partial days. Street parking may be available, but difficult to
find.
● Local lot near on Caroline Street near Whitehead - typically $15-20 per
day
● Local lot on corner of Simonton Street and Eaton - typically $10-15
per day
Getting around Key West: There are number of cab companies on the island
including Key West Cab - (305) 293 6860 -
and Key West Taxi - (305) 296 6666.
On, and around Duval Street you can also generally wave down a pedicab.
If you would rather your own vehicle, then electric powered "golf
buggies" which can seat 2,4 or 6, as well as single or double mopeds are
available for rent at a number of locations. The Hotel LaConcha
has a rental service at the back of the parking lot, though the prices
will be a little higher there.
Weather: The Hurricane season is officially over November 1st,
and it is extremely rare to have tropical systems after that date.
Temperature ranges little from day to night, but in late November you
can expect highs around 80° F / 27° C and lows around 72° F / 22° C.
November is one of the drier months, but the island still typically
receives around 2.5" / 10cm of rain in the month.
Sunrise and Sunset: Sun will be rising around 6:45am in Key
West, and setting at 5:40pm.
